In his recent works, Risote establishes parallels between graffiti and different so-called Indigenous paintings. These cultures have existed on the margins of capitalism, calling into question the existence of its fundamental principles such as money, property, merchandising. They reproduce the hues obtained by sampling pigments in an urban environment such as bricks, concrete, bitumen. Their titles remind us of the history of colonised civilisations who sink in the collective forgetfulness. An aesthetic and political work, in which the light visual contrasts with a protesting statement.
