This universal feeling questions: “What happens to us after death?”

The first isolated tombs date back to the Middle Paleolithic. Since then, they have taken many forms and are present in practically all civilizations and religions. The cemeteries where we come across graves that are several centuries old are true open-air museums.
The tombs are architectural masterpieces where the deceased marks his passage into the world of the living as if to acquire a form of immortality.
KYLAM explores in his own way the subject of necropolises and their buildings, surrealist tombs, subjugated mortuary symbolism. During his numerous wanderings to the Père Lachaise cemetery, KYLAM relates his drawings of “hallucinated” tombs and the messages written for eternity on the graves.
Fragility of human life, art and words remain here immutable.
