Orion – Orion, a legendary hunter stung by a scorpion, evokes in Greek mythology the pretension of the viewer to capture the totality of reality, at the risk of losing his life, but it is also a constellation, designating here by metaphor the whole of the obsessions and fantasies of the Lisbon-based photographer.

The sensation of the existing is very beautiful, but it is not necessary to remain, seems to say to us the artist, with the immediate relation pertaining to a form of exteriority or projection, it is necessary to open its chakras, its seven doors of perception, to be the other.

To be the bouquet of flowers, to be the petal, the water, the vase.

To be the woman who comes towards us at the end of the corridor, brown and desirable.

To be the hands of the infant, the button of the blouse, the leonine hair.

We stretch out our arms, we grope for comfort, we burn ourselves together.

Fabio Miguel Roque knows that the world is an illusion, and that it is necessary to go through the inner awakening and the body to feel its true substance.

Sexual love must be an offering, a baptism for two, a delicate wildness.

The blind dog is perhaps more lucid than we are, not communicating through deceptive speech, but directly through the cry.

A cloud shivers, a horse laughs, and the skull of the fractured skeleton wonders what it is doing there, in a book seeking to establish links between the microcosm and the macrocosm, between the terrestrial and the celestial, between the male and the female.
