Polaroid : Interior Exterior

Polaroid: Interior Exterior – Robby Müller is one of the most important cameramen in the history of modern cinema. Directors such as Wim Wenders, Jim Jarmusch, Steve McQueen and Lars von Trier have already embraced his special vision. In 2016, the EYE Film Museum Amsterdam presented Robby Müller’s Polaroids, which captivate with a poetry and aesthetic similar to his cinematic imagery.

The photographs are printed in their original size, with great attention paid to color quality and a silky finish. Image selection and introduction by Andrea Müller-Schirmer; design by Linda van Deursen; with two essays by Dutch art critic Bianca Stigter; published by Walther König, Cologne.

The first edition was originally published on the occasion of the exhibition Master of Light: Robby Müller at EYE, Amsterdam, on June 4, 2016. Reprinted in 2018, the second edition was accompanied by a booklet with images from the film Living the Light – Robby Müller (2018). In 2023, the third edition was published; text by Andrea Müller & Bianca Stigler, color photos.
