Revue TAG 5 – KISS: FREIGHT LIFE “I’ve always felt that KISS’s work on FR8s over the last 30 years has been underestimated, if not ignored. As if his flop, ubiquitous in Europe, were commonly accepted as part of the railway landscape, a kind of logic diminishing by the same token the self-sacrifice of its author and the magnitude of his work.

When I received the text announcing his incarceration, I felt the need to share his photos with you. Not to glorify him in any way (he’d hate that), but simply to pay tribute to what he accomplished in the field, in the shadow of the specialized media and the Internet, simply driven by an extreme passion for graffiti and this medium in particular. By mixing letters and drawings he may have sent me from his various stints in prison over the past 20 years, as well as photos of various players and spotters on the scene (representing only a small percentage of his production), I’ve tried to paint a portrait of him.

This issue is also a way of supporting him financially and mentally in this difficult time he’s going through, in fact I’ve chosen to donate the profits from sales to pay his legal fees.” -FUZI
