A hybrid publication, between monograph, artist’s book and catalog, documenting all of Nathalie Du Pasquier’s work.

Published following Nathalie Du Pasquier’s solo exhibition at MACRO in Rome (Museo di Arte contemporanea di Roma), and then at Mrac Occitanie, Sérignan, her largest exhibition to date, which brought together more than one hundred paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints from the early 1980s to the present, This book oscillates between exhibition catalog and artist’s book by juxtaposing photographs of Nathalie Du Pasquier’s works, installation views of the exhibition at MACRO and excerpts of texts by various writers and personalities fundamental to her practice. These elements come together to create an extension of the exhibition itself, in a form that reflects the spirit of the exhibition: the pages become exhibition spaces hosting associations and combinations that allow for a deeper understanding and exploration of Du Pasquier’s work, and his imagination at large. It is a glimpse into the possibilities of his work, which can be approached, interpreted and experienced from countless angles. It is the sheer vastness and variety of his work and inspirations that make the exploration of his work – and therefore this publication – non-exhaustive.
