Sempre Milanese – Nathalie Du Pasquier moved to Milan in 1979 and became one of the founding members of the Memphis group which formed around Ettore Sottsass. During these years, she designed numerous textiles, carpets, patterns, objects and furniture, and when the group dissolved in 1987, she gave painting a central place in her work. . Whatever the medium, design or painting, her work remains made of assemblages that build, on canvas, paper, textile or volume, architectures of shapes and colors. Still lifes of calm beauty, electric motifs, domestic landscapes and construction games are mixed in a joyful freedom, like so many visual spaces to explore with the eyes.

Sempre Milanese is a stroll along this atypical path, through a selection of works dating from the early 1980s to the present. This work is a new edition, increased by 16 pages, of the previous book “Milanese” published in 2015 .
