Tools #4 – To cut – The fourth issue of the annual magazine that promotes know-how and technique in design, craft and industry. Tools magazine is the brainchild of Clémentine Berry, who also founded the Twice art direction studio in Paris. This annual publication aims to simultaneously promote and investigate the details of manufacturing techniques and expertise used in art, design, interior architecture, industry and trade. Each issue is devoted to a particular manufacturing technique (molding, folding, etc.) which guides the selection of subjects, pieces and personalities interviewed. In this way, Tools provides an overview of design, past and present, from history to the transmission of techniques, with particular attention paid to the men and women who make these cult objects of our daily lives, and who convey the stories behind our shared imagination.
