CANAL is the first self-published book by Jesper D. Lund. This 64-page volume
brings together a personal collection of photographs captured around Canal Street
in downtown New York between 2016 and 2022, accompanied by a poem by New
York-based painter Landon Metz.
“At the time, we had recently started office magazine, and I was going to the office
on Canal Street a few times a week. I always kept my camera in the office and
began taking pictures when going out for a break, getting lunch, or grabbing a
coffee. A few years ago we moved out of the neighborhood and I finally sat down
to edit the work, settling on a selection of around 40 images for the book.”
