Room 1002 is a self-published visual art zine combining photography, reflective journals, and fragments of writing created since 2023 — the year London-based artist and cultural worker Joshua Leaung left his hometown following political unrest and began a solitary journey across twelve countries.
The zine traces the emotional landscape of migration and exile, exploring how post-conflict histories shape belonging, memory, and identity. Moving between image and text, Room 1002 reflects on solitude, spirituality, and the act of reconstructing the self within a nomadic existence.
