Missing Link

This book is an outgrowth of Sangha Kim’s work of the same name, which she has been working on for several years. In her solo exhibition, Blurry Dreams (2024), where the book has been exhibited, the artist follows the clues left by uncertain memories surrounding a vanished Bamseom island and imagines a time that has never been experienced, superimposed invisibly on the present time and space. In Missing Link, the artist visits the elderly people who lived there in the past and revisits the places they left behind in the present based on the notes and photographs they left behind to remember the disappearing space. The book is the result of a collaboration between Sangha Khym and Tank Press that retraces the trajectory of the artist’s work in the language of a book. -Publisher
