Fork

Fork – Instinct is this reaction anchored in the human body, this reaction which makes it so the body knows before thought. Accompanied by his cameras, Tanguy evolves through the diverse landscapes, with this instinct as a compass urging him to capture a moment of life as it passes. Travelling along the coasts of Senegal, from Saint-Louis to Casamance and passing through the frenetic city of Dakar, « Fork » narrates these fragments of life scattered along the Atlantic coast, with the sea as a guide. At once horizon and border, independent and irrepressible, she is a contradictory space where reflections and lights intertwine. Moving in a continuous motion, she pulls and pushes pieces of landscape. Tanguy follows her and seizes what she offers him, drawn by a texture, a colour, a gaze; and so, he traces his own path following the various forks of his instinct.
