Topoïï

Topoï is the infinite series where Claire Nicolet deposits what she sees, imagines, dreams and feels. The second volume of the anthology is guided by the constructions that occupy the visions of urban beings.

From her applied and endearing drawing, the author plays with reality and representation. Have these buildings been meticulously observed and reported ? Or are they simply built of haunting patterns? Some seem to come out of the imagination of a utopian architect, while others have the familiarity of things you no longer look at. A simple detail, revealed in the course of a drawing, displayed over a whole page, in this abstract narrative way, specific to Topoï.
