Based on the observation that music criticism is like barbecue – you have to get up early to see women taking it over – Ventoline continues its adventures with a new flock of music lovers, musicians, artists, fans, DJs, facilitators and activists who share in these pages what they listen to, experience, “smell” and “sniff”, to use Daphne Oram’s words, when it comes to music. As for its predecessor, the preparation of this issue has been done patiently but resolutely, against a morbid, secure and anti-social atmosphere; it has also allowed us to do things we would not have imagined doing a few months ago, like chatting for several weeks with the fantastic Hermine Demoriane, exchanging emails with the bassist of Fugazi or silk-screening a thousand posters to decorate your home…
This second episode will deal with experiments, chance, conditioning, buttocks movements, neurology and cosmos. Some of them will try to answer questions we don’t ask ourselves often enough: what goes on in the head of a groupie? What do you cook while listening to Peaches? What are the most difficult post-punk bands to google? Finally, and this is particularly relevant these days, we will underline the importance of links, networks, spider webs woven between friends who make projects and projects that make friends…….
